Privacy Policy
Last updated October 7, 2026
This policy explains what FenalClips AI (“FenalClips”), run by Andrew Nottingham, doing business as FenalClips AI, collects, why, who helps us process it, and how you can delete it. Short version: your videos are private to you, we use them only to make your clips, we don't sell your data, and deleting something really deletes it.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and profile picture (if you add one), handled by our sign-in provider, Clerk.
- Your content: videos you upload, and what FenalClips makes from them: audio for transcription, transcripts with timestamps and speaker labels, suggested and finished clips, captions, post text, your edits and settings, and any campaign briefs you paste in.
- Purchases: which credit pack you bought, when, and the amount, plus how your credits were used. Payment details go straight to Stripe.
- Technical information: basic server logs and error reports needed to run the service and fix problems.
Your videos may include other people. When you upload them, you're responsible for having permission to do so (see our Terms of Service).
How we use it
- To run FenalClips: transcribe your videos, suggest clips, frame and caption them, render them and write post text.
- To keep your account secure and the service working, and to fix bugs.
- To contact you about your account or important changes.
We don't sell your personal information, we don't share it for advertising, and we don't use your content to train AI models ourselves. One of our providers may; see “Who helps us process your data” below.
Faces in your videos
To keep whoever is speaking in frame, FenalClips detects where faces are in your video and which person's mouth is moving. This is used only to decide how to crop each clip, while it's being made. We don't use it to recognize or identify anyone, and we don't keep face data afterwards.
Who helps us process your data
We use these service providers, each only for the purpose listed:
| Provider | Purpose | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Clerk | Accounts and sign-in | Your name, email address, profile picture and login sessions |
| Amazon Web Services (S3) | Private storage of videos and clips | Your uploaded videos and the clips made from them |
| Railway | Our servers and database | Project details, transcripts, clip settings and edits |
| Vercel | Hosting the FenalClips website | Standard web request information |
| AssemblyAI | Speech-to-text and telling speakers apart | The audio of your videos |
| Anthropic | AI that picks clips, writes titles and post captions, and checks campaign rules | Transcripts and transcript excerpts, campaign briefs (not the video itself) |
| Stripe | Taking payments for credits | Your payment details and the email you enter at checkout (we never see your full card number) |
| Sentry | Error reports so we can fix bugs | Technical details of errors; set up not to include your content, cookies or IP address |
Anthropic's business terms don't allow it to train its models on our users' content. Under its current terms for our account, AssemblyAI may use the audio it transcribes to improve its own speech models. We plan to opt out of this; we'll update this policy when we do. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never receive or store your full card number.
How long we keep it, and deleting it
- We keep your content until you delete it or your account.
- Deleting a project removes it from FenalClips right away, then deletes its video, clips and stored copies, and the transcript held by our transcription provider, usually within minutes.
- Deleting your account (in your account settings) does the same for every project you have, and deletes your credit history. Stripe keeps its own record of past payments, as payment processors are required to.
- Server logs and error reports are kept for a limited time, then deleted by the services that store them. Copies in our providers' backups may also last for a limited time before they're overwritten.
Keeping it secure
Connections to FenalClips are encrypted. Your videos and clips are stored privately, encrypted at rest by our storage provider, and are only reachable through short-lived links created for your signed-in account. Every request is checked so you can only see your own projects. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will tell you if a breach affects it, as the law requires.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in, plus your browser's storage to remember settings like light or dark mode. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Your choices and rights
You can view, download and delete your content in the app at any time. You can also ask us to give you a copy of your personal information, correct it, or delete it by emailing superstarslash@gmail.com. Depending on where you live (for example, California), you may have further rights under local law; we'll honor them, and we won't treat you differently for using them.
Children
FenalClips is for adults (see our Terms). We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Where your data is processed
FenalClips and its providers operate mainly in the United States. If you use it from elsewhere, your information will be processed there.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll tell you before it takes effect, for example by email or a notice in the app, and update the date at the top.
